The 2024 Congressional App Challenge (CAC) allows young coders and programmers in the 8th Congressional District to showcase their amazing abilities and compete to have their applications featured on the House.gov and Congressional App Challenge Page.
The challenge allows student participants to practice computer science and coding. The annual program provides extensive exposure to STEAM careers and inspires students to realize their capability.
Congressional App Challenge Rules:
- The Challenge is open to all students who reside in the 8th District OR attend a middle or high school in the 8th District.
- Students can compete individually or in teams of up to four. If competing as a team, at least half of the teammates must be eligible to compete in the district they are participating in.
- All programming languages and/or platforms are welcome.
How do I Enter?
Submissions must be original in concept, design and execution and solely owned by the contestant or team of contestants. To enter, you must submit the app, a short video explaining the concept of your app and your completed application on the Congressional App Challenge website. All submissions must be made by October 24, 2024. Any coded work such as an app, website, game, extension or robot created after November 1, 2023 is eligible.
