WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) released the following statement on the one-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy:

“One year ago, Superstorm Sandy struck many neighborhoods in Southern Brooklyn and Queens with devastating ferocity. Homes were destroyed, businesses ruined and lives turned upside down. Over the last year we have made tremendous progress, but we still have a long way to go. We must not rest until normalcy has been restored for every last victim.”
