WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement after voting in support of legislation that will provide for one billion dollars in loan guarantees to Ukraine. Rep. Jeffries is a co-sponsor of the measure that overwhelmingly passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 385 – 23:

“The financial assistance provided in this bill will support the democratic aspirations of the Ukrainian people in their quest for self-determination.  Our government will continue to stand up for those who seek to create a society filled with the freedom, liberty and religious tolerance that we cherish here in America.”
