Today, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement:

I am shocked and dismayed at the unfolding tragedy at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc. My heartfelt prayers and condolences are extended to the victims, families, congregants and community. 

The level of high profile violence in America this year shocks the conscience. Our country is spiraling out of control. We need dramatic change.
