Today, Leader Jeffries issued the following statement on Peace Officers Memorial Day:

This Police Week and every week, House Democrats are grateful for the hardworking members of law enforcement who put their lives on the line day in and out to protect our communities. In the face of unspeakable tragedy, our nation’s police officers continually answer the call, stepping up and running towards danger to save people they do not know. 

We continue to pray for the families of fallen officers and will never forget the courage of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. May God always watch over the brave men and women of law enforcement.
