Congratulations to Congressman-elect Tom Suozzi on his decisive victory in today’s special election, defeating the much-hyped Nassau County Republican machine and its handpicked candidate. Tom is the quintessential public servant who will return to Congress to fix the problems confronting everyday Americans and get things done in a bipartisan manner. 

Extreme MAGA Republicans spent millions attacking Tom personally and distorting his distinguished public service record. The people of Queens and Nassau County didn’t buy it. Tom’s vision of commonsense solutions and putting people over politics prevailed. Congress will be better off for it.
