Brooklyn, NY – Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) released the following statement after a federal judge approved Interfaith Medical Center’s restructuring plan and cleared the hospital of bankruptcy:

“Time and time again, the Interfaith Medical Center found itself on life support over the last year.  The community never gave up, and together we fought for our safety net hospital to be revived.  The emergence from bankruptcy is a substantial step toward central Brooklyn finally getting the world class medical institution we deserve.”
